The advent of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) was an event of exceptional importance in the history of mankind. Allah Subhanu Wa Ta’ala has chosen Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) as a messenger, His Messenger to impart the teaching of Islam. That makes the Prophet the greatest human being who has lived in the universe.
Allah is and remains the GREATEST. He does not need space. He has existed before he has even created it, before every gravitational field was unwrapped of its shroud by Him. Allah has always existed and will always exist. All glories and praises are for Him. He is the GREATEST and no one has the power or might except Him. With so much boundless power at His disposition Allah has chosen Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) to purify, to perfume and to instill into our hearts the teaching of Islam. This fact alone justifies regarding Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) not as greater than Allah, but as having been entrusted with the greatest importance no other person or prophet will ever reach in the propagation of the greatest living religion on earth - indeed, it is ISLAM! And also, Allah has placed him on a pedestal of excellence and glory to make it compelling if we believe in Allah, then we also have to believe in Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W). That is a grim warning we must heed if we are true believers.

Islam will continue to thrive and blossom in the barrenest of desert as long as the Prophet’s name is remembered in our daily prayers, he is the chosen Messenger of Allah, the khataman Nabeeyeen - Seal of Prophets, leader for all time, preacher, Warner and bearer of good tidings. And most importantly, he received the revelations of the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran is a blessing and a gift to the human race. Only Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) was privileged this exceptional and divine honour to receive the revelations of the Holy Quran. If we can accept with purity of heart the majesty, prestige and honour bestowed upon the Prophet by Allah, it is a vibrant example of the place he occupies in Islam. The doctrine that there is no god but Allah and Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) is His Messenger must be deeply embedded in us. It acts as a key which unlocks the door to Islam. Once inside we cannot be true believers unless we arm ourselves with the teachings of Islam and practice the SUNNAH of the Prophet.

To delve in to the importance of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) may perhaps not be within out depths of understanding. But if we do, then he is the very essence of Islam. In his last sermon given in the Uranah Valley of Mount Arafat on the 9th day of the Dhul Hijjah 10 AH, he warned his followers:
"O people, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers, fast during Ramadan, and give your wealth in zakaat; perform Hajj if you can afford to; you know that every Muslim is the brother of another Muslim.
"O people, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. I leave behind two things: the QURAN and my example the SUNNAH; if you follow these you will never go astray."
Is it not true then when events of cataclysmic and tragic proportions befall the Muslim nations enough to rip our hearts to gush lavas of uncontrollable blood that we become inclined to think that we have not heeded the warnings of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W)?
